Shaping collective intelligence
My name is Giacomo,
I am a Certified Professional Facilitator. I work with
businesses, communities and organizations.

What is facilitation?
It is a set of tools, methods and skills that allow groups, teams and people to find the best way in order to achieve their own goals.

Facilitation makes the difference
Groups and organizations are intelligent organisms, learning, understanding, transforming and adapting to the problems they encounter in their environment.
Although in most cases they have all the skills and resources to best express their potential, often they can’t do it, or they can but using much more time and effort than necessary. This can happen when power relations are not clear, the basic principles for working well together have not been explained, people are involved with objectives too far apart from each other or when it is not clear to everyone where to get and how.
In other cases it is simply the organizational structure that prevents the creativity needed to achieve satisfactory results. People have meetings in a certain way because “it’s always been so” and are not able to make small changes that could make the processes smoother.

“Odd how the creative power at once brings the whole universe to order.”
Virginia Woolf
Here a facilitator can make the difference: the facilitator is a kind of process consultant, offering tools to guide the growth of groups and organizations without taking away the decision-making power of those responsible, but giving all the actors involved the opportunity to affect, and therefore to feel the changes and innovations as their own.

You probably need a facilitator if:
- You are facing a complex challenge that involves a plurality of subjects with different interests
- You want to prevent possible conflicts resulting from a change that could have a significant impact on people/environment/territory
- Your project requires to build effective networks or partnerships to achieve the expected results
- You’ve had enough of attending endless meetings that lead nowhere and you would like to explore new ways to work with your team
- You need new ideas to drive innovation and change in your organization

be there!”
How I work
I have been working with public sector, companies and non profit organizations. I know and practice different methodologies and I combine them according to the needs and objectives of the context in which I operate. Since 2021 I am accredited as a Certified Professional Facilitator at IAF (International Association of Facilitators).
